Udaipur. Recent wild animal attacks in Udaipur and Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan have created an atmosphere of fear among the local residents. In Gogunda, Udaipur, a panther attacked and seriously injured a temple priest Vishnu. It is being told that the body of the priest was found 600 meters away from the temple, due to which there is panic among the villagers. This is the seventh incident in just 10 days since this attack, in which wild animals have targeted common people. So far 7 people have died, including a girl.

At the same time, Saint Hiteshvanand (70) was seriously injured in a bear attack in Sawai Madhopur. The incident happened at night when the saint was sleeping under the umbrella of his ashram. Suddenly the bear attacked him. Hearing the screams of the saint, neighbors Kamal Sharma and Dinesh Swami saved him in time. The saint has suffered deep injuries on his body and he was referred to Jaipur after first aid.
The forest department said - now is the time to be alert
Following these attacks, forest department officials are monitoring the situation. DFO Ajay Chittaura and Gogunda SDM Dr Naresh Soni have visited the spot. Officials say that local residents need to be vigilant and appropriate steps will be taken to protect wildlife.
