If the Central Government refuses, the State Government will complete the development of Greenfield Airport with its own resources: Ashok Gehlot

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has targeted the Narendra Modi government at the Center regarding the proposed greenfield airport in Kota. CM Gehlot inspected the proposed greenfield airport land in Kota on Thursday. During this, Gehlot targeted the Central Government and said that the State Government is committed to the development of Greenfield Airport.
We took a decision in the Cabinet and got 34 hectares of land transferred free of cost to the Airport Authority by the Urban Development Trust, Kota. Besides, the first installment of diversion amount of Rs 21 crore 13 lakh was also given to the Forest Department. Despite this, the central government has not been able to start the construction work. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that we have fulfilled the promises made in airport development.
Now the Central Government and local MP Om Birla should make efforts. Being a local MP, it is his duty to take the work forward. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot even said that if the Central Government refuses to do so, the State Government will get it done from its own resources. Just as the state government took forward the development of Kishangarh Airport, it is also committed to take forward the development of Kota Airport. He said that the airport is essential to promote tourism in Kota.
