A case of molestation of a minor girl has come to light in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. It is being told that the girl had gone to a shop near her house to buy some goods late last Saturday evening. Seeing the girl alone on the way, a boy from the same locality molested her. This incident of molestation was captured in the CCTV camera installed in a person's house. The girl, who reached home, told her family about the incident. After this, the family complained about the entire matter at the local police station.
The family alleges that the police did not take any action for 18 hours. After the CCTV footage went viral, the higher authorities took cognizance of the incident and registered a case and arrested the accused youth. The angry police issued a notice threatening action against the person who gave the CCTV footage of the incident. Local people are angry with the careless working style of the police.

The case is from Fatehpur town of the district. On Saturday evening, a 12-year-old girl went to a grocery store located some distance from her house to buy some goods. The girl was returning home after buying goods from the shop. During this time, a young man named Anurag from the same locality saw the minor girl alone and molested her. This act of the young man was recorded in a CCTV camera installed in a nearby house. The minor girl, frightened by the incident, reached home. The minor told her family about the incident. The family members immediately reached Fatehpur town police station and gave a written complaint to the police and demanded action against the young man Anurag.

The girl's family alleges that when they informed the police about the entire incident by giving a written complaint, the police station in-charge said that the incident was fake and did not take any action against the young man Anurag. Here, upset with the lack of action, the family took out the video footage from the CCTV camera installed at the man's house, after which the family made this CCTV footage viral on social media demanding action. After the matter came to the notice of the media, higher officials took cognizance of the matter.
FIR was filed on the orders of CO
Fatehpur CO Dr. Binu Singh reprimanded the police station and ordered to register a case immediately and arrest the accused. After the order of the CO, the police station registered a case under relevant sections for molestation of a minor and arrested the youth Anurag. On the other hand, the station in-charge Hariprasad Yadav, who was furious after the CCTV footage went viral, gave a notice to the person who gave the CCTV footage and threatened action. The person said that a constable from the station came to my house and gave me a notice for giving the CCTV video. The police talked about taking action against me.
ASP gave information about the case
On this entire matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Chiranjeev Nath Sinha said that a person living in Fatehpur has given a complaint to the local police alleging that a young man from the town molested his daughter. In this case, the police immediately registered a case under relevant sections and arrested the accused youth. Additional Superintendent of Police said that the accused youth will be presented in the court in the morning and every effort will be made to take the case to the fast track court and get justice for the victim.
