The throats of five family members were slit. In this incident, Naib Singh, his wife Imrit Kaur, daughter-in-law Amrit Kaur, and son Dushyant died. The 13-year-old grandson is seriously injured and is fighting for his life in the hospital.

According to the information, on Sunday morning when the neighbours saw that no one had come out of the house. When there was no response even after calling, they informed the police. When the police reached the house and opened the door, the scene inside was horrifying. All the members were found soaked in blood. Four had died, while a child was in critical condition. The police sent the bodies for post-mortem. No weapon has been recovered from the spot. The forensic team is engaged in collecting evidence, and the CCTV footage of the house and surrounding areas is being examined. Efforts are also being made to find out the password of the CCTV of the house.

People close to Naib Singh said that the family had no enmity with anyone. The police have recorded the statements of the family and neighbours. Initial investigation has also not found any signs of robbery. Information about the killers is expected to be obtained from the postmortem report and CCTV footage. There is an atmosphere of terror and mourning in the village due to this mass murder. The police have taken the matter seriously and have intensified the investigation.
