In a letter to the states and union territories, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that during the second wave of corona infection in the country, the percentage of active cases requiring hospital care was between 20-23 percent.

He said that the cases of corona in different parts of the country are increasing in the Omicron variant as well as the cases of delta continue to rise. In this regard, emphasis has been given to the States and Union Territories on covid management and human resources, especially to increase the number of health workers.
