Health Ministry said, states and union territories still have more than 8.43 crore vaccine doses
The ministry said that so far a total of 96 crores 75 lakh 07 thousand 995 (967507995) vaccine doses have been provided to the states and union territories by the central government. More than 8.43 crore (84317810) vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories.
The vaccination campaign of the corona is being run rapidly in the country. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday that 8 crores 43 lakh 17 thousand 810 (8,43,17,810) corona vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories. The ministry further said that so far a total of 96 crores 75 lakh 07 thousand 995 (96,75,07,995) doses of vaccine have been provided to the states and union territories by the central government. More than 8.43 crore (8,43,17,810) vaccine doses are still available with them.
The central government is committed to accelerate the pace of corona vaccination and expand its scope across the country. The new phase of corona vaccination has started on June 21. The immunization drive has been intensified through the availability of more vaccines, vaccine availability for States and UTs.
As part of the nationwide immunization campaign, the Government of India is supporting the states and union territories by providing them free corona vaccines. In the new phase of the Universalization of Corona Vaccination Campaign, the Central Government is supplying 75 percent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country free of cost to the States and Union Territories.
More than 10 lakh corona tests were done within the last 24 hours
On the other hand, the testing capacity of the corona has been increased in a big way and till now a total of 58 crores 36 lakh 31 thousand 490 (58,36,31,490) corona tests have been done in the country. This information was given by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Monday. According to ICMR, 10 lakh 35 thousand 797 (10,35,797) people were tested within the last 24 hours. Along with this, the Ministry of Health said that 18,132 new corona cases were registered in India within the last 24 hours, which is the lowest number of cases in 215 days.
