On 29 May 2020, a woman was murdered in Chhattisgarh. It could not be ascertained who the murderer was and why he killed the woman. After this, another woman was murdered in March 2024. The police were investigating the case when suddenly they found out about the murderer. The murderer himself told this to one of his friends while being drunk. The murderer is handicapped. He is fond of having sex with women. The murderer killed those women also only because they did not listen to him.

As soon as the friend heard this, the ground slipped under his feet. He went straight to the police station. He told the police the whole thing. Now the disabled accused is in police custody. The accused has been identified as 32-year-old Tejaram Konda. He lives in a village in Baloda Bazar district with his parents and two siblings. According to the police, Konda allegedly killed a 36-year-old mentally ill woman in the village on May 29, 2020.

The body of the deceased was found near a tree about 100 meters away from her house. The accused used to sexually exploit women. Police said that when the woman refused to fulfill his demand, he flew into a rage. Without thinking twice, the maniac killed the woman by hitting her on the head with a stick. After this, to make the incident look like a suicide, he tried to hang her from a tree, but a case of murder was registered.

However, the case was shelved after that. Four years later, on March 13, 2024, the police again found the body of a 56-year-old woman from the same village in a pond near her house. She too had injury marks on her head. The police registered a case of murder against unknown people. According to the police, about a month later, a drunk Konda told one of his friends in sign language that he had killed the 56-year-old woman, after which the police came to know about the incident.

According to Superintendent of Police Kishor Vasnik, there were similarities in both cases. In both cases, the women used to stay alone for months as their family members used to travel outside for work. Also, both women used to live in secluded areas in two corners of the village. There were similarities in the method of murders, such as both were hit on the head and their bodies were dragged out of their houses. The police officer said Konda had confessed his crime. After which he was arrested on September 6. When the women refused his demand, he attacked them.
