Government Scheme: The government makes big announcement before the Lok Sabha elections, now 300 units of free electricity will be available every month

Before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Narendra Modi government at the Center has made a big announcement in the interim budget of its second term. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced to provide 300 units of free electricity every month to the people in the interim budget 2024.

According to reports, according to the budget announcement of the Finance Minister, this benefit of free electricity will be available to those 1 crore families who will arrange solar energy at home under the government's recently launched Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana. 

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana on 22 January 2024 after the Pran Pratistha Puja of Ram Lala at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Under this, solar rooftops will be installed at a concessional rate for one crore houses by the Central Government. People working in government jobs will not get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana. At the same time, the annual income of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs 1.5 lakh.
