Former National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi got two years sentence in this case

Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has received a major setback from the Surat court in connection with his controversial remarks regarding Modi's surname. In this case, the Surat court convicted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and sentenced him to two years imprisonment.

However, in the case of controversial remarks made regarding the Modi surname, Rahul Gandhi has also got bail. Rahul Gandhi was also present during the hearing in this case in Surat Court. A defamation case was filed against Rahul, MP from Kerala's Wayanad, in this regard. On this, the Surat court has convicted Rahul Gandhi under section 504 of the IPC.

Punishment has been given in this case: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had said during a rally in Kolar, Karnataka in the year 2019 that how the surname of all thieves is Modi. His statement was claimed defamation by former Gujarat minister Purnesh Modi while registering an objection.
