Five-Day Working: Soon this rule may be applicable in banks too, working time may increase
If you work in a bank then this is good news for you. The news is that soon the rule of five working days may be implemented in banks as well. If reports are to be believed, the United Forum of Bank Employees and the Indian Banks' Association is moving ahead with the discussion on the long-standing five-day working week. Bank employees can work from Monday to Friday after a notification is issued in this regard.
It is being told that the United Forum of Bank Employees and the Indian Bank Association have agreed to work for five days. S Nagarajan, General Secretary of All India Bank Officers Association has given information in this regard. He said that as per Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, the government has to declare every Saturday a holiday. S Nagarajan told that this agreement was done for a short time and it was not subject to salary.
According to Burrows, the government has also agreed to a five-day working day. Now the Reserve Bank of India should accept the scheme. If these rules are implemented, the working hours of bank employees will increase. They will have to work forty minutes more every day.
