Both of them fell in love during their studies and later Manjeet got married to Megha as soon as he joined the job of data manager at a bank. At that time, the families of both were not in favor of their marriage, but they had to bow down to their stubbornness.

Manjeet's family told Megha it was a bad omen.

Incidentally, Manjeet's father died in a road accident just 15 days after the marriage. Manjeet's family made it an issue. They blamed Megha for the accident and called it a bad omen. They said that as soon as Megha set foot in the house, bad things started happening. It is alleged that Megha was taunted about this every day. This had a direct impact on the relationship between Megha and Manjeet and they started fighting.

Murder for not paying alimony

This continued for about four to five months. Meanwhile, Manjeet filed a complaint against Megha in Indirapuram police station and sent her to her maternal home. After going to her maternal home, Megha also went to the court with a complaint against Manjeet and filed for divorce. The matter reached mediation and Megha demanded an alimony of Rs 1 crore. When Manjeet refused to pay this amount, Megha's brother Sachin, in anger, along with Praveen, who worked in his shop, got Manjeet murdered outside his office in Greater Noida on February 21.
