In Bareilly, a brother brutally and savagely murdered his younger brother. The accused Raghuveer along with his son Monu murdered Charan Singh. Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar of Fast Track Court-1 held Raghuveer and Monu guilty of murder and sentenced both of them to death and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Monu.

Highlights

  1. First the nephew shot two bullets in the uncle's chest, then the brother slit his throat
  2. False FIR was written to escape from police and to show himself as brother's favourite

In Satyug, there was a Raghuveer (Lord Shri Ram) who did not even get himself crowned as a king for the sake of his brothers and went to exile. His younger brother Bharat took over the entire kingdom by merely keeping his sandals. When he returned, he was crowned as a king.

Now in Kaliyug, there is a Raghuveer (murderer) who, in greed for property, brutally murdered his own younger brother. His throat was cut in such a bestial manner that he was left with only skin attached. He even got his uncle shot by his son. Such a brother and nephew have no right to live in this society...

Mentioning all these things in his order, Judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar of Fast Track Court I sentenced father-son Raghuveer and Monu, residents of Bhojpur, Baheri, to death. The court said that the murderers should be hanged till both of them die.

This is the whole matter

Bhoop Singh, a resident of Haldi Khurd, had no children. He transferred his 20 bigha land to his sister Somvati. Somvati was married to Ahavaran Singh in Bhojpur.

Ahavaran had two sons Raghuvir and Charan Singh and a daughter Saroj. After Ahavaran's death, Somvati married Sher Singh of the same village. After this, Somvati also had a son Dharampal Singh. Charan Singh also lived with Somvati and Dharampal.

Unmarried Charan Singh was 42 years old. Raghuvir was afraid that Charan Singh would give his share of 16 bighas of land to his stepbrother Dharampal Singh. Therefore, Raghuvir used to threaten Charan Singh almost every day. Many times Raghuvir also asked his mother to explain to him that if he gave the land to someone else, he would kill him.

In 2006, Raghuvir had also attacked Charan Singh, due to which he suffered serious injuries, but the matter was hushed up after listening to the relatives. It was 6:30 pm on 20 November 2014. Charan Singh had gone to light a lamp on his maternal uncle's grave as usual. Charan Singh was murdered on the way.

After this, Raghuvir filed a case in Baheri police station that when his brother got late in returning from the Samadhi, he went to look for him. When he looked, he found out that Harpal and another person shot him and fled while firing in the air.

The murder was so brutal that the deceased's neck was almost completely severed from the torso and there were two bullet wounds on the chest. During the postmortem, both bullets were found stuck in the deceased's body.

The secret was revealed in the investigation

When the case was investigated, it was found that the murder was committed by none other than Raghuvir, who had filed a case of his brother's murder, and his son Monu alias Tejpal. According to the information given by Monu alias Tejpal, the murder weapon, a pistol, was also recovered.

When the case reached the court after the charge sheet was filed, the prosecution presented 13 witnesses and proved that Charan Singh was murdered by his brother Raghuvir and his nephew Monu. Fast Track Court-I judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar held the father and son guilty of murder and sentenced them to death. He also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Monu.

The left ear was also cut off, the neck was only attached to the skin.

The court has also mentioned the post-mortem report in detail in its report. It was told that in the report there were injury marks at four places on Charan Singh's body. All the wounds were very deep. His left ear was also cut. The neck was cut so brutally that only the skin was left attached.

Along with this, the court has also mentioned the 51st couplet of Ayodhya Kand of Ramcharit Manas. Along with this, it has also been told that even though Bharata was not successful in taking Lord Shri Ram back from the forest, he was successful in getting his sandals. That is why it is said that 'Prabhu Kari kripa panvari deenhi, sadar bharat siis dhar lihi'.
