EPFO: PF fund withdrawal is made easy with the Umang app, see step by step process

A part of the salary of all working persons is deposited in the form of Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). PF account holders can withdraw the entire amount deposited in EPFO ​​after retirement, but in case of emergency, EPFO ​​account holders can withdraw money from their PF account. With the Umang app launched by the government, you can now withdraw money from your PF account sitting at home.

Generally, people withdraw money from PF for essential expenses such as home repairs, education, marriage expenses, and expenses for the illness of family members or themselves. Earlier, many trips to the bank or PF office had to be made for PF withdrawal, but now it can be done through the Umang app.

Withdrawal Process through UMANG App:

Link your Universal Account Number (UAN) with your Aadhaar to withdraw money from your EPFO ​​account through UMANG app.

The steps to withdraw money through the app are as follows:

1. Download the UMANG app and register using your mobile number.

2. Select the EPFO ​​option from the multiple options available on the app.

3. Select the Raise Claim option and enter your UAN number.

4. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number with EPFO.

5. Select the type of withdrawal from your PF account and fill out the form.

6. Submit the form and get a reference number for the withdrawal request.

7. Track the withdrawal request using the reference number provided.

8. EPFO ​​will transfer money to your account within 3 to 5 days.

Now you can easily withdraw money from your EPFO ​​account sitting at home through the Umang app. The app has made it easy for individuals to withdraw funds for emergency expenses without visiting the bank or PF office.
