The news is that the interest on PF may be reduced in the future. If this happens, it will shock more than 6.5 crore people of the country. If reports are to be believed, the Central Government may take a decision to reduce PF interest.

This is being considered as the reason for EPFO ​​incurring a deficit even after estimating a surplus during the financial year 2021-22. In fact, during 2021-22, it was estimated that EPFO ​​would get a surplus of Rs 449.34 crore, whereas on the contrary it had to face a loss of Rs 197.72 crore.
