In Karnataka's capital Bengaluru, the ATS team of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested a suspected Naxalite from Haryana. The arrested Naxalite had come to meet his girlfriend. He has been identified as Anirudh Rajan. According to the police, Anirudh was in the banned CPI (M) Naxalite organization. He used to write and post banned articles. The police and anti-Naxal team had laid a trap to catch him. A case has been registered against him at Upparapet police station in Bengaluru's Central Business District.
According to police sources, Anirudh Rajan had come to Bangalore 3-4 days ago to meet his girlfriend. A fake Aadhar card in the name of Vikas Ghadge has been found from him. Anirudh reached the KSRTC bus station at 8 am on Thursday to go to Chennai. During this time, the ATS team keeping an eye on him arrested him. During the investigation, it was found that Anirudh Rajan had collected money and held secret meetings. A case has been registered in this regard at the Upparpet police station.
Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has recovered 2 bags, pen drives, and tabs from accused Anirudh Rajan. A case has been registered against him under the UAPA Act. At present, the accused has been taken into custody and further interrogation is being done. Police Commissioner B. Dayanand said that Anirudh Rajan, a native of Haryana, had come to Bengaluru for personal work. He is associated with a banned leftist organization.
According to the police, Anirudh Rajan was working with those organizations. At present, he has been arrested and a case has been registered at Upparapet police station. He said that the accused has been taken into custody for 15 days, at present the investigation of his work activities is going on. Sources said that the Karnataka police have shared this information with their counterparts in Haryana. A team from Haryana may come to interrogate the accused.
