Delhi School EWS Admission 2025 Result: The first list for Delhi EWS admission will be released today, draw will be held at this time in the afternoon

The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) will declare the results of nursery admissions for children of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Group (DG) category for the academic session 2025-26 today, March 5. The first computerized draw will be held today at 2:30 pm. The application process for admission started on February 3 and continued till February 28.
Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood said that in the past years, many irregularities have been reported and questions have also been raised on transparency. This time, 2.5 lakh application forms have been received from February 3 to February 28. Names of 38,000 children will be announced today at 2:30 pm. In order to set high standards of transparency of the draw of lots, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has decided that this draw will be done in front of the public and the media. She informed that the draw of lots will be shown live on the screen in the Directorate of Education building.
Action will be taken against schools not giving admission
The Education Minister said that the biggest change that has been made this time is by making an SOP. The final list of the children whose names come in the draw will be released after completing the document verification process. He also said that action will be taken against the school that refuses admission. The draw of lots will be done by computer without any human interference.
eats have been reserved in private schools
The EWS/DG admission process is a significant initiative by the Delhi government to provide quality education to children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 25% of seats in private unaided recognised schools are reserved for students from the EWS and DG categories. A computerised lottery is conducted to allocate seats fairly, ensuring that every eligible child gets an equal chance of getting admission.
