Puneet Khurana married a girl named Manika Pahwa in 2016. After this, both of them started the famous Woodbox Cafe together. The business was going well but their relationship started getting surrounded by controversies only after one and a half years of marriage.

'If the divorce is going on, will you remove me from the business? Then you will say, if you threaten me, I will commit suicide...' After this conversation, Puneet Khurana of Delhi hanged himself from the fan. Puneet Khurana married a girl named Manika Pahwa in 2016. After this, both of them started the famous Woodbox Cafe together. The business was going well but their relationship started getting surrounded by controversies after one and a half years of marriage. Then, by mutual consent, their divorce case reached the court. Another round of talks was to take place in the court in this case, but before that, on the night of 30 December, Woodbox Cafe's co-owner Puneet Khurana handed over the phone to his wife Manika. There was a heated argument between the two on the phone for 15 minutes.

In this call recording, Manika was heard saying, 'Beggar, tell me what I have asked from you. You are not worthy of being called 'Aap' anymore. I don't want to see your face. If you come in front of me, I will slap you. You won't remove me from the business just because I am going through a divorce. If you threaten me again, I will commit suicide.'

After this call, Puneet Khurana committed suicide

After this phone call, Puneet Khurana, who lives in the Model Town area of ​​Delhi, took the same step as Atul Subhash of Bangalore. According to Puneet's family, after talking to Manika on the phone, their son made a video recording on his phone in which he accused his wife Manika Pahwa and her family members of everything from property, and business to inciting him to commit suicide and later committed suicide.

Puneet's family alleges that Manika had put forward five demands for the divorce settlement, including paying 70 thousand rupees per month and paying the lawyer's fees, and had threatened to send Puneet and his family to jail if these demands were not met. Puneet's family is now demanding justice. Puneet's family has also accused Delhi's Model Town Police of not handing over Puneet's last video to the family.

Delhi Police did not share Puneet's video

At the same time, Delhi Police is also saying that Puneet made the video but is citing investigation as the reason behind seizing the phone. Even though Delhi Police did not share Puneet's suicide video with anyone, there is a CCTV video of Puneet and Manika's fight which is currently viral on the entire social media. In this video, Manika is seen threatening Puneet. She is saying that I will go to your locality and make a lot of noise, then cry on the phone. 

FIR has not been filed yet

This news coming from the country's capital on the occasion of the beginning of the new year was really heart-wrenching. Now the hope for justice rests only on the impartial investigation of the police. The update till now is that the police have not even registered an FIR in this suicide case.
