Delhi-NCR Fog: Delhi-NCR wrapped in a blanket of fog, speed slowed down due to low visibility, 184 flights delayed

The intense cold and dense fog in Delhi-NCR has created problems for people. Visibility is almost nil in many areas. The visibility is so low that only the headlights and parking lights of vehicles are visible on the roads. Along with this, vehicles are moving at a crawling speed. According to the Meteorological Department, today's minimum temperature is likely to be around 9 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature is likely to be around 18 degrees Celsius. There is also a forecast of light rain today.
Many trains coming to Delhi are running late. At the same time, air services are also affected due to poor visibility at Delhi airport. So far today, 184 flights are running late. 7 flights have been canceled.
The IMD has forecast a generally cloudy sky with very light rain on Wednesday evening or during the night. Earlier on Tuesday, the weather was clear in Delhi-NCR.
There was fog for some time in the morning on Tuesday, but after that the sun came out. The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 21.2 degrees Celsius, which was 1.3 degrees Celsius above normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.9 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees above normal.
Many trains were canceled
In view of the weather, the railways have cancelled many trains. These include 14617-18 Amritsar Janseva Express (till March 2), 14606-05 Rishikesh Jammu Tawi Express (till February 24), 14616-15 Amritsar Lalkuan Express (till March 22), 14524-23 Ambala Harihar Express (till February 27), 18103-04 Jallianwala Bagh Express (till February 28), 12210-09 Kathgodam Kanpur Weekly Express (till February 25), 14003-04 Malda Town Delhi Express (till March 1).
Indian Railways stressed that these measures are to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of passengers during fog. Passengers are advised to check their train status online or at the nearest railway station before planning their journey.
What is the AQI of Delhi?
On Wednesday morning, Delhi's AQI was recorded at 319, which falls in the very poor category. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 is satisfactory, 101 and 200 is moderate, 201 and 300 is poor, 301 and 400 is very poor and an AQI between 401 and 500 is considered severe.
