Jaipur. The level of air pollution in Khairthal district of Rajasthan has crossed the danger level, after which Collector Kishore Kumar has declared a holiday for students of classes 1 to 5 in government and private schools of Khairthal and Tijara. On Tuesday, the Air Quality Index was recorded above 200 in 26 districts of Rajasthan, including Bhiwadi, Karauli and Bikaner, which is considered extremely harmful for health.

Schools are getting holidays due to this special reason...

In view of this situation, the Central Pollution Control Board has implemented the fourth stage of the Graded Response Action Plan in these affected areas of Rajasthan. Under this, many steps are being taken to control pollution. Water is being sprinkled in areas like Khairthal and Tijara and the use of smog guns has also been started to reduce dust and smoke. Apart from this, strict monitoring is being done on burning of garbage and smoke coming out from industries.

People are having irritation in their eyes and difficulty in breathing

Due to pollution in Bhiwadi city, the sky remained hazy throughout the day, which reduced visibility drastically. Citizens faced irritation in the eyes and difficulty in breathing. To control this increasing level of pollution, the Rajasthan government has started taking strict action and has formed special teams to stop burning of garbage.

The government appealed to the people to stay at home

The cleanest air at this time was observed in areas of southern Rajasthan, such as Sirohi, Pratapgarh and Ajmer where the AQI was at normal levels. However, the districts of northern and western Rajasthan are severely affected by pollution and people here may face increased health problems. The state government has appealed to the citizens to stay indoors, use masks and avoid outdoor activities. Also, people are being made aware of the measures to avoid pollution.
