Chhattisgarh government has increased the dearness allowance of state employees by 4 percent. This step of the Chhattisgarh government will benefit 3.90 lakh employees and 1.20 lakh pensioners. Giving this information, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said that this increase will be effective from March 1.

With this step of the Chhattisgarh government, the dearness allowance of government employees will increase to 46 percent under the Seventh Pay Commission. This decision of the government will lead to an additional expenditure of Rs 816 crore annually on the government exchequer.
