Crime News: Father-in-Law Accused of Rape as Bride Narrates Ordeal to Police

In a harrowing incident from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a newly married bride has accused her father-in-law of rape. The woman's husband had gone abroad, leaving her vulnerable to her father-in-law's advances. When she confided in her mother-in-law, seeking help, she was threatened instead. The victim has now filed a police complaint against both her father-in-law and mother-in-law.

In the capital of Madhya Pradesh, a young bride has lodged serious allegations against her in-laws. After her husband left for work abroad, her father-in-law allegedly raped her. When she reported the incident to her mother-in-law, instead of receiving support, she was threatened. The mother-in-law insisted that if she wanted to stay in the house, she had to keep everyone happy, leaving the bride shocked and distressed.

Escape and Report:

The bride then fled to her parental home and disclosed the entire ordeal to her parents. They accompanied her to the police station, where she filed a complaint against her in-laws. The incident took place in the Kolar police station area. The victim, aged 24, had recently married Dinesh, who resides in Kolar and works abroad.

Details of the Allegation:

The victim told the police that her father-in-law, a retired officer, had been harboring ill intentions towards her since the marriage. Initially, she ignored his inappropriate behavior, but one night after dinner, he entered her room and assaulted her. When she resisted, he forcibly raped her.

Mother-in-Law's Threats:

The next day, the bride confided in her mother-in-law, hoping for support. Instead, her mother-in-law threatened her, stating that she must keep everyone in the house happy if she wanted to stay. Frightened by this response, the bride found a way to leave her in-laws' house and sought refuge with her parents.

Police Investigation:

The police were taken aback by the bride's account. After hearing her story, they transferred the case to the Kolar police station for a thorough investigation. The police have stated that if the allegations are substantiated, appropriate action will be taken against the father-in-law and mother-in-law. Meanwhile, the victim has undergone a medical examination as part of the investigation.
