Crime: 'I will do something wrong with Tantra Vidya', Tantrik Khan Baba used to scare women and do obscene acts with them, now...
A disturbing case of exploitation under the guise of tantra-mantra has come to light in Indore, where women were allegedly exploited by a man named Tantrik Khan Baba. Claiming to solve their problems through spiritual rituals, he initially gave the women amulets and performed so-called "tantric rituals" to get rid of their troubles. Later, he used to exploit them by scaring them with these tantric rituals.
District coordinator of Hindu Jagran Manch Rajkumar Tetwal said that a complaint was received against Abdul Rafiq (known as Khan Baba) of Mangalia village. A woman reported that Khan Baba sexually harassed her and made obscene gestures, even pressuring her to have physical relations. After learning about this, Tetwal and his team visited the place to investigate.
He used to prey on weak women
Khan Baba had gained a following in the rural areas, where many women from nearby villages sought his help for personal problems. One such victim, who approached him with her problems, was first given an amulet and then asked for money. Knowing that she could not pay the fee, Khan Baba instead demanded physical relations from her. When she refused, he threatened to use his "tantric powers" to harm her family. On being confronted, he first revealed his name as Piru Baba, but under pressure, he revealed his real identity as Abdul Razak Baba.
The activists caught him and handed him over to Mangalia police. Based on the allegations, the police registered a case under Section 354 and SC/ST Act. Many activists including Man Singh Rajawat, Tapan Bhorjar, Amit Chaurasia, Pratham Gaur and Mayank were present during the police action.
