Congress got a big blow in Rajasthan before the assembly elections

Before the assembly elections to be held in Rajasthan this year, the Congress has suffered a major setback. Congress has won only four out of 14 seats in the declared results of the urban local body by-elections held in Rajasthan. While the Bharatiya Janata Party has succeeded in winning eight seats. Two seats have gone to the account of independents. 

State Election Commissioner Madhukar Gupta has informed about this. He informed that the bye-elections on 14 seats in 12 districts of the state on urban bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions were held on Sunday, May 7. Their results have been declared on Monday. 

He informed that in these by-elections, BJP won eight out of a total of 14 ward seats. Congress has won four and independent candidates have won two seats. Before the assembly elections, these results are being considered a big blow for Congress.
