Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot once again announced that the state government will distribute smart phones with internet facilities for three years to women heads from the Raksha Bandhan festival. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said this on Monday while inaugurating the Farmers Training Center on the premises of the Udaipur Milk Producers Cooperative Union located in Govardhan Vilas. He inspected the center and appreciated the development works. During this, CM Gehlot also addressed the cattle rearers at the Milk Day function.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has left no stone unturned in the all-round development of farmers and animal herders. In the last 4 years, a grant of more than Rs 2313 crore has been given to gaushalas, while the previous government had given only 150 crore rupees to gaushalas in 5 years. Under the Mukhyamantri Kamdhenu Pashu Bima Yojana, insurance of Rs 40,000-40,000 is being given for two milch animals of the cattle rearers. Nandishalas are being opened in every Panchayat Samiti. Along with this, 5000 dairy booths are being opened, due to which common people will get employment.

Gehlot said that cattle rearers are being given a subsidy of Rs 5 per liter of milk, and so far a grant of Rs 1 thousand 110 crore has been given. This has strengthened their socio-economic status. Gaushalas are now being given subsidies for 9 months. He said that under the Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana, milk will now be given to children in schools for six days.
