Chhattisgarh: An angry leader started firing when a cow entered his field, police arrested him
In Balrampur district of Chhattisgarh, a leader fired on cows, due to which two cows were seriously injured. The only fault of the cows was that they had entered the field of the accused. The gatekeeper complained about this to the police, on which the police arrested the accused along with the weapon. At the same time, the injured cows have been admitted to the veterinary hospital for treatment, where they are being treated.
The whole matter is of Mission Para, adjacent to the City Kotwali police station area of the district. Two pet cows of resident Umesh Ram entered the field of Balrampur Nagar Palika Parishad president's husband Param Minj while grazing. He got furious on seeing those cows grazing in his field. He opened fire on the cows. Police immediately arrested him on the complaint. He has been produced in court and sent to jail.
Firing of 4 to 5 rounds
The victim cattle breeder Umesh said that the accused Param Minj is associated with the Congress party. He alleges that when his cow entered Param's field, he ran out of his house with an air gun and fired 4 to 5 rounds, due to which both his cows were seriously injured. Currently, the accused's wife Sundarmani Minj is the president of Balrampur Nagar Palika Parishad. It is alleged that Param Minj has been involved in many anti-social activities along with cow meat consumption and smuggling in the past. There is a lot of anger in the area after this incident. Local people are demanding strict action against the accused.
Giving information about the entire incident, the district's Additional Superintendent of Police Shailendra Pandey said that after Umesh Ram's complaint, the City Kotwali police immediately took the matter seriously and reached the spot. The police seized the air gun and arrested the accused. The ASP said that this accused is a habitual offender. Many types of crimes are registered against him at the police station. He has also gone to jail many times. At present, the police are investigating the matter.
