Case of 2021 in discussion: Minor raped 3 times in 5 hours, took potency-enhancing medicine

35-year-old Mohammad Sadiq Khatri has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the case of the rape of a minor girl in Surat. He had raped the girl several times on 18 October 2021.

Surat. A man from Surat, Gujarat has been sentenced to life imprisonment. He has been found guilty of raping a minor girl. He raped the 16-year-old girl three times in 5 hours on the night of 18 October 2021. The convict is 35-year-old Mohammad Sadiq Khatri.

The girl wanted to meet her friend who lives in Mumbai. She had been talking to him for seven months. Sadiq had deceived the girl by saying that he would make her meet his friend. He lured the girl and took her with him and raped her.

At the time of arrest, Sadiq was found with sex enhancement pills

While sentencing Sadiq, Navsari's special POCSO court judge TS Brahmabhatt said that his crime was an 'act of moral degradation'. Sex enhancement pills were found with Sadiq at the time of his arrest. The court said that this shows his perverted mentality of preying on helpless children. It is suspected that he might have used these pills during the crime.

The girl was going to Mumbai to meet a friend

The girl lived in the Pardi taluka of Valsad. She had met a man from Bhiwandi in Maharashtra on ShareChat. The two chatted for seven months. Her friend used to ask her to come to Mumbai to meet him. On his insistence, the girl ran away from home on October 18, 2021. She reached Vapi railway station and boarded a train to Mumbai. During the journey, she met the accused. Sadiq started talking to her. When the train stopped at Umargam station, he forcibly pulled her out of the train. He assured them that he would drop her from Navsari to Mumbai.

The girl was raped three times in 5 hours

Sadiq took the girl to a secluded spot. He raped her at 7:30 pm. He then raped her twice more in 5 hours. At around 1 am, Sadiq left her on a train bound for Mumbai. When the train stopped at Vasai, the girl got off and called her uncle. After a complaint was lodged on October 24, Navsari police began looking for Sadiq. When he was arrested, the sex-enhancing drug Sildenafil was recovered from him.
