In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) managed to win 292 seats, while the India Alliance won 234 seats. Even though the NDA is going to form the government, its concern has increased due to being so close to the majority figure. In such a situation, the BJP will try to expand the scope of NDA. In such a situation, we will try to know which party can come in NDA.

Will Uddhav Thackeray and Sukhbir Badal become part of the NDA?

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is stuck at 240 in the Lok Sabha elections, is going to form the government with its allies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi may take oath for the third time on June 9. Before the formation of the new government, the BJP started trying to expand the scope of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). At present, the NDA has 292 seats. In such a situation, the question arises which party can come in favor of the NDA?

In the 2024 results, BJP has got 240 seats, its ally- TDP 16, JDU 12, Shiv Sena 7, LJP Ram Vilas 5, JDS 2, RLD 2, Jan Sena 2, NCP 1, Apna Dal-S 1, AJSU 1, HAM 1, UPPL 1 and Assam Gana Parishad 1 seat. That is, NDA currently has 292 seats, which is 20 seats more than the majority. Being so close to the majority, NDA is considering expanding its scope.

How many seats does the India Alliance have?

At the same time, the Congress, which is leading the India Alliance, has 99 seats, while its allies - SP has 37, TMC has 29, DMK has 22, Shiv Sena-Uddhav has 9, NCP Sharad Pawar has 8, RJD has 4, CPM has 4, IUML has 3, AAP has 3, JMM has 3, CPI (ML) (L) has 2, National Conference has 2, CPI has 2, VCK has 2, RSP has 1, RLP has 1, Kerala Congress has 1, MDMK has 1, Tribal Party has 1 seat.

Who among the 17 other seats can become a part of the NDA?

That means the All India Alliance has got 234 seats, 38 seats less than the majority figure. Others have got 17 seats, including 7 for independents, 4 for YSR Congress, 1 for AIMIM, 1 for Azad Samaj Party, 1 for Shiromani Akali Dal, 1 for SKM, 1 for ZPM and 1 for VOTPP. Now the question arises that if BJP tries to expand the scope of NDA, then which party can go with it?

Will Uddhav and Akali Dal come together?

BJP will try to bring back its old allies, which include Shiv Sena-Uddhav and Shiromani Akali Dal. Both have 10 seats. Apart from this, it seems difficult for BJP to get the support of other parties of India Alliance, because the entire politics of these parties is based on opposing the BJP. It seems difficult for the BJP to get the support of the YSR Congress as well because its opposition party TDP is currently a part of NDA.

How will the BJP manage Uddhav with Shinde around?

BJP may also be eyeing some independent MPs. However, many independent MPs may be more comfortable going with the All India Alliance. In such a situation, if the BJP tries, Shiv Sena-Uddhav and Shiromani Akali Dal can come together with it, but in the current situation, it seems very difficult. If BJP tries to bring Uddhav Thackeray with it, then Eknath Shinde may get angry. In such a situation, will the BJP be able to anger Shiv Sena, a party of 7 MPs, in the process of making 9 MPs a part of NDA?
