Brother Killed His Cousin Over ₹1000 Holi Donation Dispute in Lucknow

A shocking incident has emerged from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, where a dispute over a Holi donation led to a brutal murder. In the Vikas Nagar police station area, a man was mercilessly beaten by his own cousin and his friend, resulting in his death during treatment. When the victim’s wife tried to intervene, she too was assaulted.

Murder Over Holi Donation

The victim, 35-year-old Harish Chandra Kashyap, was attacked by his cousin Puneet and his associate Chand Babu. According to the police, the conflict began when Puneet demanded ₹1000 as a Holi donation. When Harish refused, the accused, along with his friend, assaulted him with sticks, inflicting severe injuries. The violence did not stop there—Harish’s wife, who attempted to save him, was also beaten.

Police Action and Investigation

The brutal attack created tension in the locality. Upon receiving the information, the police swiftly took action, arresting the main accused, Puneet, while the other suspect, Chand Babu, remains at large. Authorities have launched a search operation to apprehend him. Meanwhile, Harish’s body has been sent for post-mortem as part of the ongoing investigation.
