He has also imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh 20 thousand. At the same time, the mother-in-law, father-in-law Harimohan Singh and husband who were found guilty of beating her for demanding dowry have been sentenced to two years of imprisonment and a fine of twenty thousand rupees.

Government lawyer Anil Kumar Mishra told the court that in this case, the victim had lodged a report in Ashiana police station on June 4, 2015. In which she told that she was married on November 30, 2014. When she reached her in-laws' house, all the accused used to abuse and beat her demanding an Alto car and a plot in dowry. One day all the accused beat her up.

The woman said that her mother-in-law poured kerosene on her with the intention of killing her and her husband kicked her in the stomach with the intention of killing her unborn child. Due to dowry harassment, her brother-in-law forcibly had physical relations with her several times at gunpoint.

On the other hand, the mother of the girl who returned to Suratganj in Barabanki after eight months has accused five youths of gang-raping her daughter after holding her hostage. When the local police ignored her complaint, the victim's mother complained to CO Fatehpur, on which the police have registered a case against the accused and taken two of them into custody and started interrogation.

A woman living under Mohammadpur Khala police station had given a complaint to CO Fatehpur Jagatram Kanaujia that Dinesh and Dilip, residents of Baburi village under Rampur Mathura police station of Sitapur, lured her daughter with the promise of getting her a job and took her away. Somehow the daughter escaped from their clutches and told that Dilip, Dinesh, Kuldeep resident of Dhanolia, Ramesh and Umesh resident of Paramgonda police station Rampur Mathura Sitapur took her to some unknown place at knife point, where she was kept hostage in a rented room. The accused gang-raped her for three-four days by threatening to kill her.

Dinesh, Ramesh and Kuldeep left from there, but Umesh stayed there and kept sexually exploiting her. When she got a chance, she somehow came out of the room and started screaming, then Umesh, scared, brought her to Kanpur and put her on a bus to Lucknow and fled. Somehow, on 14 February, the girl reached Mohammadpur Khala police station and narrated her ordeal to the police, but the police did not take any action.

CO Fatehpur Jagatram Kanaujia said that on the basis of the complaint of the victim, a case is being registered against the accused under serious sections. The two named accused have been brought and are being questioned.

She went missing on August 14

The girl had left home with her sister on 14 August and was missing since then. Her sister had reported that she had drowned in the river, following which the police had conducted a thorough search for her. When she reached the police station on 14 February, the police were shocked to see her.
