After the defeat in Karnataka, the Bharatiya Janata Party will change its strategy for the upcoming assembly elections to be held in many states including Rajasthan. In these elections, BJP will have to focus more on local leaders instead of relying on central leaders and state chief ministers. Under this, the stature of many local leaders including former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is expected to increase in Rajasthan.

According to reports, local leaders may be given special importance by the BJP while formulating its election strategy for Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Under this, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is expected to get preference in the state.

Along with this, importance will also be given by the BJP to MPs Kirori Lal Meena, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, former state president Satish Poonia and other leaders in Rajasthan. It is believed that due to the neglect of local leaders in Karnataka, BJP has faced a big defeat.
