Before the assembly elections, Congress got a big shock, this former MP of the party joined BJP.

Before the assembly elections to be held in Rajasthan this year, the state Congress has suffered a big setback. Jyoti Mirdha, granddaughter of veteran Jat leader Nathuram Mirdha and former MP, has given a big blow to Congress by joining BJP. Jyoti, who was a Congress MP from Nagaur, was given membership of the party by BJP state president CP Joshi in Delhi on Monday.
During this period, former IPS officer and Congress leader Sawai Singh Chaudhary also joined BJP. Now Bharatiya Janata Party can make Jyoti Mirdha its candidate from Nagaur in next year's Lok Sabha elections. RLP chief Hanuman Beniwal is currently the MP from this seat.
Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore has tweeted on Jyoti Mirdha joining BJP. He tweeted that hearty congratulations and best wishes to former Nagaur MP and senior leader Dr. Jyoti Mirdha ji and retired officer Sawai Singh Chaudhary ji for accepting membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the world's largest political party, by expressing their faith in the ideology of the party. You are welcomed and congratulated in the great family of BJP. The party will be stronger with your arrival.
