The intention of the state government is to bring Rajasthan among the leading states of the country in the field of highways and road network, so that better road connectivity can give impetus to the economic and industrial development of the state. CM Bhajanlal Sharma said this during a meeting with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday at the Chief Minister's residence in OTS and discussing about improving and strengthening the highways and road system in the state.

On this, the Union Minister assured that the Central Government will provide all possible help for the development of a strong road network in the state. During this, as per the suggestion given by Gadkari, discussions were held in the meeting to prepare a roadmap to make the state railway gate free by constructing ROB or RUB at railway gates.

After the announcement of approval of Rs 5,000 crore for the second phase of Jaipur Ring Road by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, instructions were also given in the meeting to implement the work of the Ring Road soon. 

The development and expansion of national highways in the state, operation of electric buses, sending new proposals for roads under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) and the possibilities of construction of ropeway to promote tourism were also discussed in the meeting. .
