The police have now arrested this fraudster, who had created a group on Telegram in which thousands of people were connected.
This is how he used to cheat people
Accused Manish Jhinjha, who lived in a rented house in Nagaur city, used to make people recharge for Rs 999 by luring them to make them lakhpati. Fraudster Manish also had a Scorpio car, which was a symbol of his luxurious lifestyle. Apart from this, the police have also recovered five mobile phones, 59 SIM cards, and 18 ATM cards from Manish.
Manish had created a group on Telegram and uploaded a QR code and a video to it. In this video, he showed people a scheme in which they could become lakhpatis by recharging Rs 999. Manish's method was so simple that no one even complained to the police because the amount of fraud was small.
What is the police action?
After Manish's arrest, the police checked his mobile phone and found that he had used a QR code which was linked to his bank account. Whenever a person scanned that code, the money would go directly to Manish's bank account. The police are questioning Manish and the entire matter is being investigated.
Fraud spread in Rajasthan
This matter was not limited to Nagaur only, but people from many other parts of Rajasthan had also fallen prey to Manish's deception. Manish had earned lakhs of rupees through his fraud, and his lifestyle did not let anyone suspect anything.
