Bathing Tips: If you also bathe naked, then change this habit today, it may cause Pitra Dosh
Bathing Tips: Bathing is an important part of our daily routine. It not only cleanses the body but also gives energy to start a new day. Some rules have been mentioned in Hinduism regarding bathing. One of those rules is not to bathe naked. Some reasons have also been given behind this. Let us know the religious reasons behind this rule.
Know the legend
There is a mythological story behind the rule of not bathing naked. When the Gopis were bathing naked in the lake, Shri Krishna stole their clothes. After this, he hid the clothes. When the Gopis prayed to Lord Krishna to get their clothes back, then he explained that bathing without clothes is an insult to the water god. After this, all the Gopis agreed to Krishna ji.
There is an insult to the god Varuna
Many people bathe naked because they think that no one is watching them. But the truth is that God can see you everywhere. Doing this is considered an insult to Lord Varuna. This angers him and you may commit a sin. Due to this, you may have to face troubles.
Negativity enters the body
Bathing without clothes brings negativity to the body. Due to this the mentality of the person also becomes negative. Also, Goddess Lakshmi can also get angry with you. Therefore, wear at least one piece of clothing while bathing.
Pitra Dosh may occur
It is mentioned in Garuda Purana that taking a nude bath can also cause you, Pitra Dosh. Because according to Hindu beliefs, our dead ancestors are present around us. Their souls do not get peace by taking a nude bath which becomes the cause of Pitra Dosh. On the other hand, according to Padma Purana, the water used for bathing goes to the ancestors' share, so taking a nude bath is considered to be bathing without clothes in front of the ancestors.
