India's neighboring country Bangladesh's attitude is not calming down. First Bangladesh accused India regarding the national anthem, after which Bangladesh has now expressed displeasure over the statement given by Home Minister Amit Shah. Amit Shah had given a statement regarding Bangladeshi citizens during his Jharkhand tour on Friday, on which the neighboring country has now said, it does not befit leaders holding high positions to say such things.

Amit Shah had said during a rally in Jharkhand that the Bharatiya Janata Party will selectively throw out Rohingya and Bangladeshi intruders from Jharkhand. Now the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry has expressed objection to this statement of his.

What did Bangladesh say?

Expressing displeasure over Amit Shah's statement, Bangladesh handed over a letter to the Deputy High Commissioner of India in Dhaka on 23 September. In this letter, the Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh lodged a protest against Amit Shah's statement. The Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh expressed objection, grief, and displeasure in the letter. They also asked the Indian government to advise the leaders to refrain from making such objectionable and unacceptable comments.

The ministry also said such comments coming from people in responsible positions in the neighboring country weaken the mutual respect and strong relations between the two friendly countries.

What statement did Amit Shah give?

Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a rally in Sahibganj, Jharkhand on Friday due to the assembly elections. During this rally, Amit Shah said, that once the Jharkhand government is changed, the Bharatiya Janata Party will select and throw out Rohingya and Bangladeshi intruders from Jharkhand. He further said they are destroying our civilization, usurping our property.

Amit Shah said, there is no place for infiltrators in Jharkhand. Amit Shah said in the rally, that if the infiltration in our Jharkhand continues at the same pace, then in 25-30 years these infiltrators will become a majority here.

India was accused earlier too.

Recently, there was a demand to change the national anthem in Bangladesh and the country had also blamed India for this. A former soldier of the country had said that the national anthem, Amar Sonar Bangla, was imposed on us by India in the year 1971 and this national anthem brings forward the colonial past of the country. After this, the Bangladeshi government clearly refused to change the national anthem. Religious affairs advisor AFM Khalid Hussain had said, Bangladesh wants to maintain better relations with India.
