Under the change in Subhadra Yojana, women holding government jobs and paying income tax will not get the benefit. Government scheme changes

Bad News: If you are a beneficiary of the recently launched Subhadra Yojana, then this news may be important for you. Some important changes have been made in this scheme launched by the Odisha government for the empowerment of women. Under this, some women are being prevented from getting the benefits of the scheme and it is necessary to know on what basis this has been done.

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, the Odisha government launched the "Subhadra Yojana" this year . The aim of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the women of the state, in which there is a provision to give Rs 10,000 annually to every eligible woman. But according to the recent changes made in the scheme, not all women will be able to avail its benefits. Let us know which women have been excluded from this scheme and why.

Which women will not get the benefit of the scheme?

Some necessary eligibility has been set to get the benefit of Subhadra Yojana. The state government has clarified that women who are in government jobs will not be eligible for this scheme. Apart from this, women who pay income tax will also not get the benefit of this scheme.

The government has taken this step because a large number of women have also applied for the scheme, who are not eligible for it. Especially those women whose annual income is more than Rs 10 lakh or who are taxpayers will not be given the benefit of the scheme.

One crore women will get benefit

The government has set a target of providing benefits to one crore women under this scheme from 2024-25 to 2028-29. Rs 50,000 will be sent to the account of each eligible woman, which will be given in two installments of Rs 5,000 per year. Apart from this, women will also be provided debit cards, through which they will be able to make digital payments.

As an incentive under the scheme, an additional Rs 500 will be given to the 100 women who make the highest number of digital transactions in every Gram Panchayat and urban body.

This scheme aims to make women financially independent and make them aware of digital transactions. If you fall under the eligibility criteria of the scheme, submit the necessary documents as soon as possible to avail the benefits.
