Ayodhya: The case of theft of lights installed on Rampath has taken a turn, FIR was lodged against the company that installed them, and one arrested
There has been a new twist in the theft of bamboo lights and Gobo projector lights installed in Ayodhya City during Ramlala's Praan Pratishtha. A case has been registered against the organization that claimed to have installed these fancy lights and complained to the police about their theft. Also, the representative of the organization has been arrested and sent to jail. The image of the Ayodhya district administration was tarnished in this case recently. There was a stir in Ram Nagari due to a big theft incident. After investigation, it was found that the lights for which a case was registered for theft. Those fancy lights were not installed at all.
A grand event of Ramlala Pran Pratishtha was organized in Ayodhya on 22 January. Ramnagar was decorated attractively to make the program beautiful. Fancy lights were installed on Ram Path and Bhakti Path by the firms Yash Enterprises and Krishna Automobiles under the contract of the Ayodhya Development Authority. Among these, 6400 bamboo lights were installed on the trees of Ram Path and 96 gobo projector lights were installed on Bhakti Path. Yash Enterprises, the implementing agency, claimed that 6800 lights were installed in Ayodhya.
Yash Enterprises representative Shekhar Sharma had complained to Ayodhya police station on 9 August and said that all the lights were installed by his organization on 19 March. When an investigation was conducted on 9 May, 3800 bamboo lights and 36 Gobo projector lights were missing. On 9 August, the firm registered a theft case in Ram Janmabhoomi police station. According to the Ayodhya Development Authority, Yash Enterprises had installed 2600 lights and received payment.
Bills for 3800 bamboo lights were also put up for payment but it was not found to be installed during verification. It is alleged that the firm had submitted fake documents to get the payment and a false FIR was lodged to escape. On the complaint of Ayodhya Vikas Pradhikaran, Ayodhya police filed a case against Yash Enterprises. The firm's representative Shekhar Sharma, a resident of Haryana, was arrested and sent to jail. Investigation revealed that the bamboo and Gobo projector lights that were claimed to be stolen were not installed at all.
