Atul Subhash's wife Nikita Singhania has been arrested and sent to judicial custody in connection with the suicide case. She only used to make WhatsApp calls and change her location every day to evade the surveillance radar of the police, police sources said on Monday.
Nikita was arrested by the Bengaluru Police from Gurugram. His mother Nisha and brother Anurag were arrested from Prayagraj.

How was Nikita caught?
Police sources said that when the accused came to know that the Karnataka Police was coming to arrest them, they locked their house in UP's Jaunpur. After this, the police pasted a notice on the walls of the house and asked him to appear within three days.
In order to nab the accused, the special team prepared a list of all close friends and relatives who were suspected to be in touch with them. The accused were put under increased surveillance as they were using WhatsApp calls to communicate. Because of this, it was difficult for the police to track them.

But Nikita made a mistake. He called one of his relatives by phone. As soon as he called, the police were alerted. Based on the location of the tower, the police reached Gurugram. Police found that Nikita was hiding in a PG in Rail Vihar area from where she was detained.
When the police questioned him strictly, he called his mother and brother. The police obtained their location and nabbed them from Jhunsi town in Uttar Pradesh.
The police questioned him for nine hours while taking him to Bengaluru and also ensured that the two-year-old boy was kept in the custody of one of his relatives. Atul's family has demanded that the child be handed over to them. If an investigation is required, the police can seek custody of the accused on a body warrant. Nikita and her family are preparing to file a bail application in court.
