Ashok Gehlot requested PM Modi to intervene in this matter


Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter so that DAP is available in sufficient quantity to the farmers in the states. 

Ashok Gehlot tweeted in this regard that there is a shortage of DAP fertilizer across the country. Due to an increase in prices in the international market, DAP is not being imported in sufficient quantity by the fertilizer companies. This is affecting the sowing of mustard and other crops.

Prime Minister is requested to intervene at the earliest on this sensitive issue related to food donors so that a sufficient quantity of DAP can be made available to the farmers in the states. CM Gehlot has reviewed the status of power and DAP supply in the state. In this regard, he said that the state government is concerned about the countrywide shortfall in coal supply and timely supply of DAP.

The state government is keeping full pressure on the central government to increase its supply. The best management is being done at every level for a smooth supply of electricity in the state. To augment the supply of coal, officers have been deployed in Singrauli and Bilaspur. Senior officers of the state government, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy, and Principal Secretary Agriculture have been sent to Delhi for coordination with senior officials.
