Ashok Gehlot once again made this demand from the central government

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has once again demanded the Central Government to give the status of a national project by preparing the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project.

In this regard, Ashok Gehlot tweeted that in order to solve the problem of irrigation and drinking water in 13 districts of the state including Bharatpur, there is a constant demand from the Center to prepare the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had also assured to give it the status of a national project during his visit to Rajasthan. But till now the central government has not taken proper action on this. It is our earnest effort that the Center should give it the status of a national project and this plan should take shape.

During this, he said in another tweet that Rajasthan is the leading state in the country in terms of education. 123 new colleges have been opened in the state. To encourage girls for higher education, it has been decided to upgrade higher secondary schools with an enrollment of 500 and above girls into colleges.
