Ashok Gehlot has now taken this decision regarding fee recharge on free admission in private schools

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has now taken an important decision regarding fee reimbursement on free admission in private schools under the Right to Education Act (RTE). CM Gehlot has approved the release of 25 percent of the withheld budget by removing the moratorium on the payment process for fee recharge under RTE in private schools.

It is noteworthy that in the years 2020-21 and 2021-22, the schools remained closed for a long time during the COVID-19 transition. Verification of online teaching and textbook distribution will be done on a random basis by the administrative department in private schools providing online education to students with free admission under RTE. For this verification work, the process of formation, training, and verification of teams at the district level is likely to take some time. In this case, there will be a delay in the payment process.

Therefore, in the session 2020-21, the Finance Department had sent a proposal to pay 25 percent of the amount due for online teaching conducted under RTE to the institution as an advance. This advance amount will be adjusted against the last payable amount and in case the advance amount exceeds the last payable amount, this excess amount will be adjusted against the amount payable in the next financial year.
