Fees increased after 13 years.

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot on Thursday said the Delhi government has increased the fee for Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates for petrol, CNG, and diesel vehicles after a gap of nearly 13 years. He said in a statement that the fee for a PUC certificate for two-wheelers and three-wheelers has been increased from Rs 60 to Rs 80 and for four-wheelers from Rs 80 to Rs 110. Gehlot said the PUC certificate fee for diesel vehicles has been increased from Rs 100 to Rs 140.

10000 rupees fine for not complying

It is worth noting that Delhi is very strict about pollution control. To curb the vehicles spreading pollution, the Transport Department of Delhi periodically checks the Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates and if you do not have a valid PUC certificate, you can be fined a hefty amount of Rs 10,000 in Delhi.

Why was the decision taken?

He said that the Delhi government is committed to maintaining the air quality of the city and ensuring that all vehicles meet the required pollution standards. In general terms, these rates have been increased to prevent Delhi's air from becoming more poisonous. Delhi's AQI remains in a very bad state, in such a situation, there has always been a demand to implement strict standards here to control pollution.
