A youth from Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh had dreamed of becoming an engineer after his studies, but his life took a different turn. After doing B.Tech, the youth chose such a path that shocked his parents. The youth first learned how to steal bikes by watching videos on YouTube and then started stealing in the area.

The youth was identified as Venkateshwarulu, who after completing his B.Tech, once worked as an outsourcing employee in the Housing Corporation. But the income from this work was not enough for him. And he got addicted to some wrong things. After some time, a fraud case came to light, in which he was arrested.

The family members threw him out

The family members also came to know about the matter and they threw Venkateshwarulu out of the house. After leaving the house, he started committing thefts along with consuming drugs. Venkateshwarulu learned from YouTube how to start a bike if the key is lost, and later he used it to commit thefts.

He started stealing bikes parked in busy areas of the city. He used to sell these stolen bikes at different places, and his friend, Sitaram Reddy was also involved in this racket. Sitaram Reddy, who was a resident of a village in Palnadu district, used to sell stolen bikes on OLX and get a commission.

40 cases were already registered against the crime partner

This crime was going on for many years, but finally the police came to know about it and arrested Venkateshwarulu. Police recovered 12 stolen bikes after his arrest. Investigation also revealed that Sitaram Reddy had 40 theft cases registered against him earlier. This incident shows that videos uploaded on YouTube for help can be misused.
