Korba: In Dhorabhatha village of Pali police station area, a husband has killed his wife. The murder was committed on 30 November. According to the information received about the case, the dispute between Umashankar and his wife Ishwari Kumari over character suspicion escalated so much that Umashankar killed Ishwari by beating her with a stick.

The accused reached Nakati Dam to dispose of the body

After the murder, Umashankar tied his wife's body to a bicycle and tried to throw it in the Nakati Dam near the village. He tied the body with stones and disposed of it and later lied to his mother-in-law and the people around him that his wife had gone somewhere. After this, Umashankar reached Pali police station with his mother and filed a missing report of his wife.

During interrogation, the accused revealed the truth

Pali police have registered a missing person's report and started looking for Ishwari. During this, Umashankar's answers were found suspicious. On continuous questioning, he confessed to killing his wife. Additional Superintendent of Police UBS Chauhan said that considering the seriousness of the case, the SDRF team was called, which after a lot of hard work recovered Ishwari's body from the dam.
