A family from Jharkhand has claimed to have found their family member who was missing for 27 years in the Kumbh Mela. He is now an Aghori sadhu named Baba Rajkumar. The family insisted on his identity, but he is not accepting his old identity. The family has demanded a DNA test.

Ranchi: A miracle has happened with a family from Jharkhand after 27 years in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. This family has claimed to have found their relative who was missing for 27 years in Prayagraj Kumbh Mela. The missing person, Gangasagar Yadav, has now been found in the Kumbh Mela in the form of 65-year-old Aghori Sadhu Baba Rajkumar.

Gangasagar went missing while going to Patna

Gangasagar went missing after moving to Patna in 1998. His wife Dhanwa Devi single-handedly raised their two sons, Kamlesh and Vimlesh. Gangasagar's younger brother Murali Yadav told how he came to know about his brother.

According to Murli Yadav, 'We had lost hope of finding our brother who went missing many years ago. But one of our relatives who went to the Kumbh Mela saw a man who looked like Gangasagar. He took his picture and sent it to us.' On seeing the picture, Murli Yadav, Dhanwa Devi and their two sons left for the Kumbh Mela with a firm resolve to bring him back.

Baba refused to tell about his past life

However, on meeting Baba Rajkumar at the fair he refused to accept his former identity as Gangasagar Yadav. He called himself a sadhu from Varanasi and denied any connection to his previous life.

The family insisted that he was Gangasagar. They pointed to identification marks such as his long teeth, a scar on the forehead and a mark on the knee. Dhanva Devi and Murali Yadav have demanded a DNA test to confirm the man's real identity.

The family is demanding a DNA test

Murli Yadav said, 'We will wait till the Kumbh Mela is over and insist on a DNA test if necessary. If the test does not match, we will apologise to Baba Rajkumar.'

Some families returned home, while others stayed back at the fair. They are keeping an eye on Baba Rajkumar and his companion sadhvi. After the fair is over, if the proposed DNA test confirms their claims, they are ready to take legal action.

Gangasagar went missing before the birth of his younger son

Gangasagar's disappearance had a deep impact on the Yadav family, especially on their young children. At that time, their elder son was only two years old and the younger one was not even born yet. This incident brought a big shock in their lives. This time was very difficult for them. Dhanva Devi had to raise her children alone.

Gangasagar's disappearance left his family financially and emotionally devastated. His wife was left to raise two young children alone. His brother Murali Yadav told how he continued to search for his brother for years.

The family claims that if we are wrong then we will ask for forgiveness from Baba

He tried to gather information about him from every possible place. But he did not get any success. He got a new hope when he found a picture of a person who looked like Gangasagar in Kumbh Mela.

This incident has raised many questions. Is Baba Rajkumar really Gangasagar Yadav? If yes, then why did he leave his home and family? If not, then why is there so much similarity between him and Gangasagar? Only the results of the DNA test can reveal this mystery.

This incident has also shown that in a huge event like Kumbh Mela, people come with the hope of finding their lost loved ones. It is a symbol of faith and belief.
