A person who used to work in Delhi Chief Minister Atishi's office has been caught with Rs 5 lakh in Girikhand Nagar. Meanwhile, an FIR has been filed against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Action has been taken on the complaint of Shahbad resident Jagmohan regarding his statement about mixing poison in the Yamuna water.
Voting is to be held in Delhi on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Gaurav, who works in Chief Minister Atishi's office, has been caught with Rs 5 lakh in Girikhand Nagar. According to the police, the arrested person works in CM Atishi's office. On the other hand, an FIR has been registered against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal had accused the Haryana government of poisoning the Yamuna water. In this case, an FIR has been registered against Kejriwal under sections 192, 196 (1), 197 (1), 248 (a) and 299 of the BNS on the complaint of Jagmohan Manchanda, a resident of Shahabad.
Jagmohan Manchanda said in his complaint, Aam Aadmi Party chief and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has incited the religious sentiments of Hindus with his statement. He has also incited the people of two states. Kejriwal said, the people of Delhi get drinking water from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Drinking water comes to Haryana via Yamuna. The BJP government of Haryana has mixed poison in the water coming from Yamuna and sent it to Delhi.
If that water had entered Delhi…
Citing Kejriwal's statement in the complaint, he further said, it was good of our Delhi Jal Board engineers that they caught it. They stopped that water at the Delhi border and did not let it enter Delhi. If that water had entered Delhi and mixed with drinking water, God knows how many people would have died in Delhi. A mass genocide would have happened, if this water, which the BJP's Haryana government has sent to Delhi, had entered Delhi.
On the statement of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that 'Yamuna water is poisoned', the Election Commission had also directed him to provide evidence on the allegations. Along with BJP, Congress also alleges that Kejriwal made a serious and provocative statement without any proof, which can create fear and tension among the public. On this, the Election Commission had sought a reply by January 29.
Amidst the Delhi elections, the Yamuna water dispute has been in the headlines from the country's capital to Haryana. Recently, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had attacked Arvind Kejriwal. He had said, Kejriwal is trying to hide his failures by spreading false propaganda. CM Saini said this during a public meeting in Nangloi in support of BJP candidate Manoj Shaukeen in the Delhi elections.
