A woman gave birth to a child on Air India's AI-150 flight. The woman was coming to Kochi from London, the UK with 200 passengers. The doctors and nurses on the plane immediately helped the woman and gave birth to the child.

A pregnant woman was also on board the plane that took off with 200 passengers. Suddenly she started labor pain, after which two doctors and four nurses present in aircraft number AI 150 got the woman delivered. As soon as the baby's cries were heard, the passengers welcomed him with applause.

An Air India spokesperson said that two doctors and four nurses on board AI-150 helped the female passenger in giving birth to a premature baby. The woman needed medical care, so the plane was diverted to Frankfurt. The woman and child have been admitted to a hospital in Frankfurt. Later the plane left for Cochin.


An Air India spokesperson said the newborn is in good health. Air India will bring the mother, newborn and other passengers from Frankfurt to Cochin later. There were more than 210 people on board the plane.

The woman has given birth to a son. As the woman needed medical care, the plane was diverted to Frankfurt. The woman, the newborn and another passenger got off there and were taken to a hospital in Frankfurt. Later the plane left for Kochi.

Let us tell you, according to the policy of Air India, pregnant women up to 32 weeks can travel without a doctor's fit-to-fly certificate. If it is longer than this, the pregnant woman has to first take permission from the doctor. According to media reports, the woman who gave birth to the child on the flight showed a document of being about 29 weeks pregnant at the check-in counter.
