A list of the world's most powerful air forces released, America on top, know India's ranking

Washington: Global Firepower.com has released the list of the world's most powerful air forces for 2025. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has made its place among the top five. This ranking is based on the capability of fighter jets, helicopters, and other support aircraft possessed by the air forces. The Indian Air Force's fourth place in the Global Firepower report shows that India has strengthened its defence capabilities.
The US Air Force is still unrivalled, but India's progress highlights its importance in the field of air power. According to the report, the US Air Force (USAF) has been recognized as the most powerful air force in the world. The US Air Force is greater than the combined air power of Russia, China, India and South Korea. Russia, China, and India come next. South Korea is in fifth place and Japan is in sixth place.
