• Benjamin Netanyahu said- Hezbollah attacked us and we pushed it back several decades in just one year. We broke the back of its top leadership by eliminating its chief Hassan Nasrallah.
• Netanyahu further said- We destroyed Hamas in Gaza and wiped out about 20,000 terrorists. We killed terrorists like Yahya Sinwar, and Mohammad Deif in the top leadership of Hamas.
• We rescued 154 of our hostages from Gaza. However, 101 hostages are still alive there. We will destroy Hamas and ensure the return of all our hostages.

Why did Netanyahu sign the ceasefire agreement?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video before approving the ceasefire, in which he explained the reason for this agreement with Hezbollah. Netanyahu said that his focus will now be on Iran. Along with this, he wants to give rest to his tired soldiers after a long war. Also, his purpose behind this agreement is to isolate Hamas. Hamas was till now relying on Hezbollah. It was confident that it would support it in the fight. But now we have isolated it. This will help us in freeing the hostages.

Israel killed 10 people a few hours before the ceasefire

Just a few hours before the ceasefire was announced, Israel had fired missiles at Lebanon's capital Beirut. 10 people were killed in this attack. Earlier on Sunday, Hezbollah had fired more than 250 missiles at Israel. Let us tell you that on 27 September, Israel killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah by bombing his headquarters. After this, the Israeli army entered Lebanon on 1 October and targeted Hezbollah's terrorist hideouts.
