Pune. Kondhwa police in Pune, Maharashtra, on Tuesday detained a 9-year-old boy. This child is accused of sexually harassing a 3-year-old girl three days ago. This incident has created a stir in the area. The police presented him before the Juvenile Justice Board.

The incident is reported to have taken place on December 15. According to the information, a student studying in class 3 in a local school molested a preschool student. Police said that the families of both know each other well and live in the same area. Both of them also visit each other's house. The police produced the detained boy before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), which ordered his bail and directed that his custody should be handed over to his parents.
The girl used to call the accused Dada Bhai
Police sub-inspector Snehal Jadhav said that the girl used to call the boy Dada (elder brother). It is alleged that when the boy found the girl alone near his house, he sexually assaulted her. When the girl told her mother about this, she was shocked.
The girl's mother lodged an FIR
According to Snehal Jadhav, the victim's mother reported the matter to the police and lodged an FIR related to sexual harassment and assault against the minor under the provisions of the Indian Legal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
A child's mind is misled by watching pornography on social media
Sub Inspector Jadhav said, "The girl was taken into confidence in the presence of an NGO representative working for child rights. She gave detailed information about the incident. After that, the boy was taken into custody. The boy told the police that he had seen obscene things on social media. He was influenced by that and committed this act."
